Soccer Ball
The soccer ball is an item of game play which should be
selected based on a number of factors. First off, it’s important
to select the right size. This is especially true while playing within
a soccer league as these often have specific size requirements.
Generally, size 3 balls are designed for ages eight and under. Size
4 is for ages ranging from eight to twelve. For those ages thirteen
and older, a size 5 ball is the most appropriate.
The material used to create a soccer ball should be chosen according
to price range and skill level. People generally choose between PVC,
polyurethane, and synthetic. PVC balls are the most durable and least
expensive. Synthetic balls are the opposite on both counts, but offer
the most superior feel and softness of the types. Polyurethane types
are the middle ground on price, durability, feel, and softness.
Other soccer ball options include the number of panels one has, which
affect its curve, as well as whether or not these panels are stitched
or glued. The lining used for a ball will affect its structure and how
well it handles. Finally, higher quality balls tend to use a latex bladder,
while most types use butyl.
